Thanksgiving Thursday
My sweet darling friend "Maidan Princess" has a great idea to start a new blog theme. I am on board with her to give praise to our Lord and give thanks for all things. Her challenge was to use Thursdays as a time to post our thankfulness for the day.
To be sure I have thousands of things to thank God for. I am married to the greatest man on earth, have 5 extremely wonderful children, an extended family that is loving, helpful and Christ Centered, we have our health, a home, and the Joy of the Lord.
But specifically today I wish to give thanks to God for the USA. I am thankful for the beautiful state of Michigan and the tour of the capital we took in Lansing today. Our freedoms in this nation are reasons to rejoice. It is like no other nation on earth. We have voice, we have a say in government, we have the rights to worship and live as we choose. No other nation has the great blessings we have.
Our day was exciting and informative. Our dear Mrs. Dobel did a super job working out all the details. We were able to learn lots at the museum and have fun doing it. The walk was refreshing and "just right" to get from the museum to the capital ( and since we left at 6:30 that was the work out today).
Oh how thankful I am that our government is for the people and by the people. We can elect and we can speak our opinion freely.
